June 2026: The Therapeutic Relationship

JUNE 2026 COHORT · ENROLLING NOW

Schema Therapy
Master Series

For clinicians who have completed schema therapy certification coursework. Three sessions, live, with a small cohort.

JUNE 9, 16, 23 · 2026 12:00 NY · 18:00 BERLIN 3 HOURS PER SESSION

Limited reparenting is the part of schema therapy that does not translate cleanly to a manual. You can read every chapter Young wrote and still freeze in the room when a client’s Punitive Parent shows up and does not soften, or when the Detached Protector goes silent for the third week running.

This intensive is about what you do in those moments. How the stance shifts when an Angry Child arrives versus a Vulnerable Child. What heightening a Detached Protector looks like when it is working, and what it looks like when it is making things worse. Where empathic confrontation lives on the line between firm and warm, and how to keep it there when your own modes are flaring.

Nine live hours across three sessions. Demonstrations, small-group practice, and integration with cases enrolled clinicians bring.

What You Will Work On

  • Adjusting limited reparenting in real time as the modes shift across a session
  • Heightening a Detached Protector without triggering shutdown
  • Empathic confrontation of overcompensating modes when warmth alone is not landing
  • Holding the stance when your own schemas are activated, and using that data clinically
  • What to do when the Punitive Parent will not yield, and the Vulnerable Child cannot be reached

Common Questions

Will this count toward ISST certification?
Not directly. ISST counts only didactic and supervised role-play hours from approved certification curricula. Master Series intensives are advanced training for clinicians who have already completed the certification curriculum, or who want depth before sitting for ratings. They count toward your annual Continuing Professional Development for maintaining certification.

What if I cannot attend a session live?
The teaching portions are recorded and made available to enrolled participants. Practice sessions and integration discussion are not recorded, to protect the cases people bring.

I am not an STTC alumna. Can I still enroll?
Yes. The cohorts are open to clinicians who have completed schema therapy training anywhere, and to advanced clinicians from related modalities (EFT, IFS, AEDP) who want to deepen their schema work.

What if I miss the cohort?
Recordings will be available at $597 after the live cohort closes. The recordings include the teaching and demonstrations. They do not include practice sessions, integration discussion, or live access.
